Hey, just noticed that over at dillo.org a couple days ago, they released a new version, 0.8.3, that promises better rendering than even 0.7.3 (whick DSL uses). Evidently, a lot of people were still using 0.7.3, like us, due to the incredible crappy rendering of pages in the 0.8.x Dillo(s), so they re-worked the rendering engine. Okay, I downloaded and compiled it on my Debian box, and indeed it does render pages much better than 0.7.3.Background colors are displayed almost corectly, and pages like ebay.com and other html heavy pages are not slaughtered nearly as badly. But, there isn't a tabbed browsing patch for it yet, so it's really not as functional as 0.7.3. -__- -J.P. |
