firefox extensions/themes don't work

Firefox is amazing - i don't remember it ever running this fastbut when i try to install a theme or extension,when i click the install link nothing happens
anyone know why that might be?

Make sure Tools>Options>Advanced>Software Update>Allow Websites To Install Software is checked, or try saving the file to your hard drive and then dragging it into Extension Manager.

i have the same problem.
i am installing jre1_5_0.tar.gz from the MyDSL panel and think that might clear it up. we'll see.

Not entirely sure, since I'll have no Linux experience until I play around with DSL when I go home for the holidays, but in Windows you would just save it to the desktop and drag it from there.
