Hello, i am new to this forum and already have found lots of help.  But i'm having a problem with the email program.  I have installed to hd.  When i attempt to send a message, an error message says the sending domain does not exist.

boogaloo-

I struggled with this also the first time I setup sylpheed. I could receive emails but not send. My error was in the basic setup info where you enter your name and such. The field that just says "Address" wants your EMAIL address. I was putting my mailing address in there!  :O

I'm not sure if this will help you but it is something worth checking.

Also, many ISP's now have gone to blocking port 25
for outbound mail, which is being sent to a mailserver
other than an ISP provided one.

So, if your an SBC/Yahoo user, you must either
1. submit to their will, and use a smtp given to you by SBC/Yahoo.
2. call and complain, and get the port 25 block lifted.
3. Arrange with your mailserver to receive mail from you on another port
