Hi everyone,

what i am after, is a linux version of a program called LCDC, found here at www.lcdc.cc

what it does is simply control what the LCD dicplayw and has a range of plugins for various applications such as winamp so u can see the spectrum aniliser (yea, im a windows boy 100% noob to linux)

i am making a Carputer, or CarPC, and this version of linux came highly reccomended

any help is greatly apriciated,

I'm a windows convert as well, so dont ask me any questions, id porbably wouldnt be able to answer them :;):

im still concidering just getting a touch screen in the dash rather then bothering with all this scripting anyway.... call me lazy, its too hard for me

I'm also building a box for the car. I decided to go with a 7" LCD, and a usb numpad. Touch screens are out of my price range and I didn't want a whole keyboard in the car. No scripting, just assign some hotkeys. There is already a thread on it. I hope to complete during the holidays. gl
