I have installed dsl .92  to my hd.   I have added some new apps using apt-get.  I would like to remove the app and some others that were part of the .92 install.   apt -get   will not permit me to do this ...  is there another way to remove unwanted  apps in dsl?

Unless you know exactly what was added/changed I wouldn't recommend getting too concerned about removing everything....you may end up removing something that other applications need.

What you can do without too much worry is remove the binary file(s) created by the installation, most likely in /usr/bin, and any directory the program created in /usr/share.  The directory would most likely be the same as the program name.  There may also be files/directories added to /etc, but you want to be more careful about rmoving these.  You also probably don't want to mess with files in the /usr/lib directory.

Keep in mind that removing some programs can affect others, if those other programs are expecting the first program to still be on the system.
