bashburn problemForum: Apps Topic: bashburn problem started by: b47 Posted by b47 on Mar. 06 2005,00:02
I'm new to Linux and I have a problem with Bashburn. I have DSL 0.9.3 and Bashburn that came with it, version 1.3 I think. I am trying to recover files from a 'downed' XP laptop and I can see the directories and files in Midnight Commander. I right click on the folders that appear in the right pane (the XP NTFS files) click on option 5 at the bottom for 'copy' and they all appear in the left pane. I switch to Bashburn and choose option 5 from the main menu for Multisession and it writes away. When I then check the contents of the CD, it only displays the directories that I wanted copied but not the contents, no files. What am I doing wrong? Posted by cbagger01 on Mar. 06 2005,07:23
I don't use bashburn because it is too cumbersome / confusing for me. Maybe someone else can help with bashburn, but my advice is to download and install the gcombust MyDSL extension and use it instead of bashburn. Of course if you are running from text mode only, then you can ignore my advice.
