Hello -

I have a hard drive installed version of DSL. I am just wondering how you install openoffice.

I just open up the myDSL and then I got to the openoffice.tar.gz or should i go to a diffent openoffice extension? and when i do and after its downloaded into my tmp folder what should i do after that?? Thanks!

If you used the MyDSL GUI desktop icon, then it should automatically be installed for you when the download was completed.

Then you can delete the /tmp file because it is no longer needed when running from a full HD installed system.

Thanks cbagger01!! I have tried it with the LiveCD and it works!! tomorrow im going to do a harddrive install thanks!!

for the hd install it's better 4 u to download the latest version from openoffice site that is very easy to install
