Hello!!

I am using dsl now for a while and am beginning to like it ;)

Just one thing bothers ma a little bit, I did everything said here in the forum to make it possible for me to use german umlaute like ä, ü and ö.
For example did I change a line in /opt/bootlocal.sh form "loadkeys xx" to "loadkeys de-latin1-nodeadkeys".

But this made it not possible in every programm, for example it works now in Firefox but not in Sylpheed.

What else do I have to do, to be able to type ä and ß in Sylpheed or is it not possible?? Would it work then in Thunderbird??

Thank you very much :)

I think it could be a problem with GTK+ (the toolkit sylpheed uses) and not DSL. At least I know GTK+ is not good for all international symbols, that's why Dillo is moving from GTK+ to FLTK. GTK2 is internationalized but it's big n slow.

As an ugly workaround, you could try cutting and pasting the symbol from another window like flwriter and into your e-mail message.

It might work.
