hey guys,

i'm constantly using the convert tool on linux to
resize images and stuff like that, though i cant find it
on dsl (obviousely, cause its aimed to be small which is good).

is there any replacement i can use that comes with dsl for resizing images? or maybe a redirect to an apt-get install <packge> which i can grab and use it for resizings.

thanks,
liran.

Convert is part of the ImageMagick package.
apt-get install ImageMagick (or imagemagick?) should do it.

myDSL packages are here...
version 6.1.8 (uci):
version 6.2.2 (tar.gz):
Future releases will be uci only.

btw, in the myDSL package the command is /opt/imagemagick/bin/convert

oops..

Did I drop the ball here?

Was I supposed to 'convert' that 6.22 version to a uci ? ( pun intended )

No.  I just made the package the same way as always.  At the time it was sent to you I hadn't noticed that Robert converted the last one to UCI, which I now think is a more logical choice.  Even though it's not too big a package, it's one of those programs that you don't need to keep installed...just mount it, do what you need, then umount.
From now on I will be taking that into consideration when building extensions.  If the app isn't tiny, and might be used only once or twice during a session, it will probably end up being UCI.
Future versions of Audacity, ImageMagick, MPlayer, Blender, SoX, and any games will all be UCI if they come from me.
