what file do i need to change to change the default homepage for firefox for a remaster?

i've changed /usr/local/firefox/chrome/US.jar

but on the remaster it doesn't actually load the new homepage. what am i doing wrong?

I'd try /usr/local/firefox/defaults/pref/firefox.js
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "http://someURL.com");

Can't be sure, but that looks like it.

nope - that's just killed the page being autoloaded when ff loads :/

maybe i've screwed up my ff installation already

Go to 'tools'>>'options'>>'General' then there should be an input box...hope thats what you meen.

nope - i mean from a pref file somewhere!

anyway, solved the problem:

US.jar,

rename to US.zip, unzip, change all the instances of dslos.com in one file - can't remember which - rezip then change name back to .jar

job done!

and yes, ff install was messed up!
