I got this machine in on Tuesday. I swear to you the pictures are not retouched (they are straight screen captures). I thought the Linux community could help me out. Getting rid of the viruses was the easy part; now I need to know how to deal with my emotional scarring.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!

38K virused/trojan files in the Windows dir!!!!!

1. Backup any files you want/need to save
2. DBAN all 0's
3. Reinstall
4. Put antivirus/spyware from get go
5. Restore data

Anything that has been that ratphuched still has stuff hidden!

Dont risk it you will be fixing it again shortly

Thanks Awwwwwwwwww...::Punch::, but I already fixed it; I cleaned and deleted 60324 files/registry entries. I don't like to reformat because there's no fun in it, I prefer to track the virii down bounty hunter style. If the virus can hide from me, it's too scared to ever come out of hiding again anyway. Kinda like these 2 guys --> :ghostface:

i knew windows was vulnerable, but that's only the second comp i've heard of that had over 50,000 files that needed wiping out.
