i just got knoppix v.3.4, and i cant do much of anything with it! no music, dialup internet, no games. what is wrong with it? is it dupposed to be a pain in the arse to use?

is there any way to get around this problem, and if so, how?

any ideas would be appreciated

knoppix 3.4 is well known to be very user friendly, and the
autoconfiguration is superb..

You might check with the knoppix forums for more help with
knoppix 3.4 and your hardware..

The Knoppix variant "Kanotix" seems even better
with the selection of apps it has.I've just spent 2
days finding out how to add stuff to the cd and reburn-
e.g.- codecs, xawtv config,bookmarks, etc.
I can't go too far with the overburn- the original cd is
698 megs- but this distro has everything.(There may be a
kitchen sink in there as well).
If only I could write to /usr/lib/ like I can with DSL !!
Kanotix site has some English documentation, not as much
as the German docs, but they are working on it.
Unusually,they use Grub on CD to boot.

sounds good, but i cant really download it.
i have a 56k modem, and its a +22hour download
