Hi.i've started working on remastering DSL with AfterStep instead of fluxbox for the WM. and talking to other AS users, we were considering setting up a page on one of these project sites for this different DSL. one of them mentioned about asking yall first, before we register for such a page. so just wanting to know if the DSL people would object to us creating a project page somewhere for this? we'd of course keep all the original credits, etc for everything. really it would just be fluxbox removed and AS dropped in its place. also, screen shot of my current test version you can view here: < http://hacksess.com/~shadowgod/AS/asdsl-17.png > thanks. Nice screenie.Have you considered just building an Afterstep .dsl extension instead of going to the trouble of remastering? Some people have ported other WM's into DSL. Just a thought Chris Posted by shadowgod on April 15 2005,20:46
well, i never saw anything on it. the docs i found most quickly were the ones on remastering. i'll see if i can hunt down the information for this .dsl stuff and see if it will do everything i would need. Posted by clivesay on April 15 2005,20:55
The mydsl system consists of preconfigured packages that can be installed to DSL with a click of the mouse. Check out the MyDSL icon on your desktop.Chris |
