just a rantjust spent hours and hours yesterday (till about 3 am) learning... installing - unpacking deb files... doing the apt-get thing.... fighting with ndiswrapper (never got it to work).... broke my xserver?.... installed new winman (fluxbox - which I thinkx rox!).. on Ubuntu.... and installed more 'stuff' cause there were 'dependancies'... It can be frustrating, but like you said it is fun. Hard to explain, it is just very fulfilling when you learn something new.
