Hadn't noticed this before, but when using the .uci version of Firefox I was prompted to install the Flash plugin when I hit a site that used flash.  Is this going to be bundled like in the .tar.gz version?

No, macromedia does not allow by license for flash to be "bundled"
That is why it was removed from earlier contributions of firefox.
In DSL version 8.0 + , there is a menu option to "get flash" .
This script works with both Opera and Firefox 0.8 and 0.9.3.
Or you can go to macromedia and grab the flash plugin, and
install it manually..  It's only the one file called libflashplayer.so
Put it in your /opt/.firefox_plugins directory

Any way to back this up (e.g. system backup) so you don't have to "get flash" everytime you boot off the live cd?

Guess I answered my own question when I did a "get Flash".

Add opt/.firefox_plugins to the filetool.lst
