are you running DSL ?start emelfm go to the directory you dandloaded samba.dsl select samba.dsl press myDSL button Posted by cneth on Sep. 13 2004,15:04

You may be hitting a known issue with mydsl desktop icon.If you look in the /tmp/ directory and you see samba.dsl with a zero bye count then samba.dsl did not successfully download. If the mydsl screen is closed using the exit button then no problem, if using the X window gaget then you may experience the zero byte download failures. Posted by guest on Sep. 13 2004,15:27

I was getting the 0 byte error even if I close the myDSL from the button... So I downloaded from a http server and it worked all right... But I can see the files on the Win98 machine but can't see the ones in the WinXP machine, the machine name appear on the list, but not the shared folders... anyone?! thanks... It works with XP shares but you need to scan as user. Try right click on machine name and select scan as user, follow prompts...
