This is a small extension (454K) that contains a bunch of useful file/partition rescue utilities for when all else failsContained is:
parted - The GNU Parted disk partition resizing program
partimage - Linux/UNIX utility to save partitions in a compressed image file
progsreiserfs - Tools for manipulating ReiserFS filesystems
ddrescue - copies data from one file or block device to another
gpart - Guess PC disk partition table, find lost partitions
recover - Undelete files on ext2 partitions
gtkrecover - GUI for recover
cmospwd - CMOS password recovery
g4l - Ghost for linux
If anyone has any ideas of other useful tools let me know

Thanks for this. I have a number of other rescue CD's, but it's so small I won't notice it's there till I need it.Theres some law of nature that you never have the right CD with you when thing go wrong.

from what i've seen in the DSL package list, it seems that parted is allready in there. however, i think your extension is a good idea.
