I noticed you've been using new fonts in DSL, and I'm wondering if you could share with us your method.

I've tried mkfontdir && xset fp rehash
and fc-cache

Neither method seems to work, and I don't know any other method.

You need the file "mkfontdir" to update the font directories.
Unfortunately, it is not included with DSL,
since the directories are already setup for the fonts included,
it was a file that could be removed to save space for better things ..

roberts and I were discussing adding it in the gnu-utils.dsl with the other fonts.

It may be added back into the next release of DSL,
since I had the same issues as you when making new themes ..

In the meantime, I'll share my workaround with you by uploading
my renamed myfonts.dsl to the repository..
It contains mkfontdir and the artwiz fonts..

The mkfontdir is now included in an updated gnu-utils.dsl
It is now in the repository..

Now, you can run the update-fonts-dir command,
and update your font.dir files when you add new fonts..
