I have been searching the posts for instructions on how to make a DSL extension, but I have come up empty.  Does anyone have a link?  I only use a few applications:  vim, R (r-project.org), Latex, and Firefox, and would like to make a DLS iso that has these four apps.  Thanks!

I would also like to learn how to make them.  I assume it's basically just an install script?  How did people learn?
