That little monitor on the side...  I've seen it on other Linux desktops also...  How can I find/install it in other versions of Linux?

I use Mandrake 10.1 as my main machine.  But, I'm still fairly new to Linux in general.  I found DSL by accident, and am MIGHTY impressed with it!!

In fluxbox/windowmaker, it's a slit or dock containing multiple programs specifically designed for this purpose.  Check out < http://dockapps.org > for piles of them.

If you have no dock or slit you might try gkrellm, which has a series of monitors within a single application, expandable through plugins.

I do have a "dock" if that's what you would call one of those KDE menus.  Considering that KDE is the only GUI I'm familiar with, I may be missing some of the terminology.

Anyway...  I checked out the site, and it certainly has everything I could ever want.  The only problem is, I have no clue how to install the apps.

Man...  I've been using Linux for about 3 years now, off and on, trying to learn how to us it...  I'm still pretty green.
