Is it possible to run something like < http://www.linuxgames.com/?dataloc=/reviews/cube/ > or < http://www.linuxgames.com/?dataloc=/reviews/sc3u/ > on dsl once converted to .dsl? Ignore filesize and hardware requirements, my dsl computer wouldn't be able to run these games anyway. I was just wondering if this is possible.

Whoops... Guess I only THOUGHT I did.. ( ibiblio was delaying my upload ) It's there now.. In the "testing" area. For a screenshot, look in the "games" section under Cube 73 ke4nt Posted by Sprite72 on Jan. 12 2005,18:03
Are there any dependancies for Cube? If I run it from the DSL menu, nothing happens. If I run it from the command line, I get an error about /home/dsl/cube/bin_unix/linux_client: error while loading shared libraries: libFL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It does state in the cube.info file that XFree86 is required, and NVidia is suggested. < http://www.ibiblio.org/pub....be.info > 73 ke4nt Posted by mikshaw on Jan. 12 2005,18:34
What version of DSL are you using? Are you using it with XFree86? (always read the info file) Cube was test here on DSL 0.9.1 with XFree86.dsl, with+without nvidia.dsl. The only additional libs needed were libpng, libSDL_mixer, and libSDL_image, which were included in the extension and set in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH using the dsl-cube wrapper. The game must be run using this wrapper or it won't work, and it must be run with OpenGL installed. edit() { I type too slow.... } Posted by rossjman1 on Jan. 12 2005,22:17
Are the system requirements to run this game in dsl the same as windows?

Yeah, pretty much. CPU isn't a huge priority, nor is RAM, but it's essentially unplayable without hardware acceleration and at least a TNT card.
