Hey, I've got the java runtime for firefox, now how do I install it? XD I'm on dial up and stuff and I've got it saved on my usb drive, but I can't get it to work >.o also does anybody know of any chat clients for Yahoo chat for DSL?  I'd be most appreciative if somebody could help me out here ^^;

Hi
You should have a file called jre1_5_0.tar.gz that you downloaded from the repository.  All you should have to do is open the file manager emelfm and navigate to its location.  Highlight the filename then click on the myDSL button in the middle.  That should auto-magically install java files in the /opt directory.  It also puts a link in the firefox plugin directory.  Filrefox should find it the next time you start it up.

Also I think the Yahoo messenger extension works.  It is ymess.dsl in the net repository.  It installs the same way.

good luck

Thanks!  I'll get to that right away!  Seems I accidentally downloaded the wrong file @_@ arg... what a pain when you're on dial up.

I've got ymess already, It's just that the only version of messenger for linux is like version 1.2 or something >=/  I wish they'd make at least a slightly newer version for Linux.
