Ok well this is my second day using DSL and I am confused. I am trying to install a few games and GAIM but I have no clue how to install them. Here are my system specs:

AMD K6 3D 350MHz
ATI Rage Pro 4MB AGP built-in video
32MB ram (wish I still had a few PC100 sticks to spare around here sleep.gif)
1.5GB Western Digital Cavier 360000 HD
an old Creative SoundBlaster ISA (very old but it supposedly works)
a DVD drive by who knows who (lol)
a brand new Linksys Ethernet PCI card.

The motherboard is an IBM spinoff of the ASUS P5A-VM, which is a microATX with built-in sound.

dsl files are collections of files that have been tarred & gzipped (*.tar.gz) and then renamed *.dsl. There are many extensions in the repository located here:

to load them:
Open emelfm (apps->tools->emelfm), and navigate to the file.
Then click on the file and hit the mydsl button
          or
in the shell type mydsl-load thedslname.dsl

If you use this gaim extension
gaim-gtk2-1.3.1.dsl
you will need to first install
gtk2-0705.dsl
