Hi,

Is it possible to boot from a USB floppy with knoppix on my CF card in the PCMCIA slot?

I have a laptop with only one USB port but am able to boot without problem into a CF Pendrive off the BootFloppy with both connected to a 2 port USB hub..

I would now like to try using my larger CF card in the PCMCIA slot as it would be far more convenient.

The PCMCIA CF card is recognised as hde1 when booted into the USB PenDrive so I know DSL can see it...

However, either the BootFloppies do not support PCMCIA by themselves or I just haven't got the correct parameters.. tried ide1..2..3., hda..to z.. ect..

Everytime I just get dropped down to the little pink shell.... I'm somewhat clueless at all this :p

Any ideas would be much appreciated as this would make a great setup for me.

Anyway.. I'd like to say hi to all as I'm new here and new to DSL and mostly to linux..
