Hi folks,

DSL 2.2b
Motherboard-2thMax 8KHA (USB1.1)

The BIOS of my motherboard supports booting USB-ZIP and USB-HDD but only booting the pendrive installed with USB-ZIP.  Installed with USB-HDD does not boot.

After installing a USB 2.0 PCI controller card the pendrive (USB-ZIP) failed to boot either on the USB ports of the PCI card or even on the motherboard USB port.  The pendrive can be detected on PCI card ports with files read/retrieved but can't be detected on the motherboard USB ports.

Re-installed the pendrive with USB-HDD.  Still failed to boot either on the PCI card or on the motherboard USB ports.  It still can be detected only on the USB ports of the PCI card but not on the motherboard.

Please advise how to fix the problem.  TIA

Try using the boot option usbwait

boot: dsl usbwait

Please post feedback.

I have yet to hear feedback on this new boot option.
If it fails, I will probably change the option for something like usbwait=30
where number is time to sleep.
