Sup all,
So I do a standard hd-install to a usb external hdd. What I need is a boot floppy that will scan usb devices for a hdd install.

Righ now, the hdd boot floppy scans hda1, etc for a hdd install, and the usb scans sda1, etc for usb installs. What I need is a floppy that scans sda1 for a hd install. Anyone know of one?

The reason I don't boot from a cd is because the computer doesn't have cd boot selected in the bios, and I can't get into the bios (school computer) :D

So I was thinking of putting dsl on the external hdd and boot to that using a floppy. The reason I don't want to do a standard usb-hdd install is because I want to make a swap and a ntfs partition, and the standard usb install wants to use the whole drive.

So I was thinking a standard hd-install on the external drive, and a floppy to boot from it.

I have a grub on a floppy, so if anyone could show me some grub commands to boot dsl with grub, that'll be great too :D
