Hi,
I'm new to DSL, (and linux too).
I currently running it now and think that it is geat.

i have a 256 usb drive that is recognised by the system.
im having trouble getting the system to install the bootable usb.

i have run the ' install to usb-hdd' command, but get the following error:

Quote
connecting to www.ibiblio.org[15.2.210.80]:80
wget: server returned error 404: http/1.1 404 not found
Error while trying to fetch usb kit
press enter to continue...

I thought it might be a problem connecting to the net, but have ruled that out as i am currently online typing this.

thanks for any help,

justin

If you are running DSL, then you do not need to install from the web. ibiblio has been having some problems lately, I think. You can install from the same media that you ar booting from and it will work great.

Older versions of DSL did not have install to USB within the base iso. They had to fetch the necessary files and scripts from the net.
You must have an old version of DSL. Please upgrade to the latest version and you will have everything needed to do such install types.

Alternatively you can look in the < archives >
