If you don't want to install a full theme, but only your own wallpaper, it is not clear where you should save your background. If you save in your home directory, that'll will take loads of space, and it has been said that the backup/restore process should not contain unnecessary data. Think of a 5 MB fat wallpaper. If you save it into your harddrive, then you cannot use it later, unless you hack the wallpaper.lua script or . the .fluxbox/backgorounds/init file or you mount the harddrive and make a soft link to it, correct me if I'm wrong. If you are using the Frugal install method, then you can save the compressed themes to your mydsl directory and they will show up in the themes menu automatically. You will have the choice of just choosing the wallpaper, if for example, you want that look also in JWM.
