hi

My PC is an old laptop with a P1 200, 96 Mo RAM and 2 Go HDD, no USB
It can't boot on CD, just floppy or HDD.

so I've read < this tutorial >

Anyway, all my attemps give the same result :
Code Sample
Boot failed: please change disks and press any key to continue.

This is what I've tried :
- download bootfloppy.img, check the md5, make the floppy using rawrtite
- download dsl-2.4.iso, check the md5, burn the CD

- boot on floppy, then dsl --> failed
- idem dsl tohd=/dev/hda1 --> failed
- idem failsafe --> failed
- idem expert --> failed
- idem dsl 2 --> failed
- copy /KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX to the HDD
- boot on floppy, then dls fromhd=/dev/hda1 --> failed

- do exactly the same with dsl-2.4-syslinux.iso --> failed

can anybody help me please ?

PS please excuse my poor english, I'm a linux n00b AND french ;-)
