I am trying to help a couple of my son's friends load DSL on old laptops running windows 98.  One of them has a working floppy and a working pcmcia usb connection.  We attempted to boot from a floppy and USB pendrive inserted into the pcmcia usb port but this did not work. I don't think it could find the usb pendrive.  The floppy pendrive combination does work on other computers without the pcmcia card so there is no problems with the images.  I notice that there is also a pcmciafloppy.img in the repository and am thinking this is what is needed but not sure of the procedure.  I would like to do whatever is easiest.  So I can try to use the pendrive or connect a usb CD ROM and use the live CD, it does not matter to me.

Can anyone give some advice on how to proceed?  These guys are really wanting to give DSL a try and I would like to help them out if possible.

Thanks.
