Hi and thanks in advance.

I have DSL on my Kingston USB-stick. It boots and works fine on a another computer, but I can't get it to boot on mine.
I've tried all the usb choices in the BIOS boot menu without success. I get the non system disk everytime (because to save time I made it to boot only from usb). DSL works if I use it from usb in Windows, but that's not what I wanted.
Does it matter that I have C, D, E, and F drives? (2x HD & 2x CD)?

Any ideas how to get it to boot?

These are from Everest home edition:
Processor: AMD Athlon XP, 1533 MHz (11.5 x 133) 1800+
Motherboard: DFI AD75  (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 3 DIMM, Audio)
VIA VT8367 Apollo KT333
Bios: Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG

And I have nothing fancy connected. Just a basic ps2 mouse and a ps2 keyboard.

Much depends on the BIOS seetings and capability.
Sometimes it help to enable usb keyboard even if you don't have one.

Sometimes it makes a difference which usb port is used. Typically the ports in the back of the computer seem to more often work.

I did try with the usb-keyboard enabled. Didn't work. I only have two usb-ports and both of them are in the back. I haven't tried the other one yet. I'll keep trying to get it to work.

Since I get the DSL working on my friends computer, could someone tell me how to change the keyboard layout? I have a Finnish keyboard and I really can't use the IRC because many of the needed characters just come out wrong. Worst of them are like < And it's anyones guess what that will look like.

Boot with the xsetup option

boot: dsl xsetup

The last screen of xsetup, allows you to choose your keyboard layout.

Even with that I can't use my keyboard. Ä and Ö just won't come out right, even when \ and / work. And it still won't boot in my computer.

if you did a USB-HDD install, then try USB-ZIP install or vice versa.
