so i put the iso file on the usb stick and then set my bios to boot from usb or how does it work?

Alot depends on your bios. See what options you have there and try several. DSL v4 only had USB-HD support. DSL v3 supports that and the older USB-ZIP support. There is also into in the wiki that help and of course google. Most newer machines support USB-HDD. Older machines USB-ZIP.YMMV |
