I put up my experience with getting DSL booting off a keyfob. I'm not a great writer, but I think I captured the jist of it. I had destroyed my MBR / boot-sector, so the article shows how to rebuild that.

This is a great tutorial and it worked for me flawlessly but there is just one tiny problem. The home dir is on the ramdisk and I would like the home dir to reside on the USB stick itself. I noticed a sym link pointing to the home directory on the ramdisk and I am going to try changing this to reflect the usb stick but I am open for other suggestions.

Hey,

That's a feature specific to DSL, not to the way you boot off your keyfob. You'll want to experiment with the options available at the syslinux prompt, as DSL has advanced ways of doing exactly what you want. Try hitting F2 and then perhaps F3 at the syslinux prompt and reading what you see there.

If in doubt, consult the DSL documentation...
