I am having problems with my USB drives geometry, but i come to think that if the cylinders, heads etc dont actually exist and you just put thoes numbers there to put logic to the computers accessing, why cant somebody just tell me what'll work?

I've read through the the installation documentation several times but i still cant get this to go...

I have a 512 mb astone, it should have 1023060 sectors (i could be wrong) so i am looking for how many cylinders, heads and sectors per track i need. I want to know if theres a way of "playing it safe" -loosing a few Mb by putting in a fairly generic geometry (but one that WILL work)

i have screwed around with this thing enough (formatting my main hard disk in the process -whoops, that was an "h") that i dont really care if all the space i get out of my usb drive is 50mb.

Anyway, if anyone could help it would be appreiated -because i'm stuck, it just wont work!!
