Getting gcc using APTForum: USB booting Topic: Getting gcc using APT started by: richardh Posted by richardh on July 05 2005,17:38
Hi,I am running DSL from a USB pendrive and have selected the 'Enable APT' option from the menu. I then use APT to install gcc. How would I get gcc to be backed up on to the pendrive when the system is shutdown? I have tried to add it to the /home/dsl/filetool.lst file, but then on reboot, after the restore stage, I get the following errors: bash: tty: command not found bash: cut: command not found bash: : -eq: unary operator expected So obviously some utilities cannot be accessed. Am I approaching this completely incorrectly? Thanks, Rich. Posted by cbagger01 on July 06 2005,15:20
Why not use the gcc1.dsl extension and have it autoload at boottime? It is available at the myDSL repository. |
