i have download the dsl-1.4.iso, can i make a dsl bootable usb disk without having to make a cd and then make the install ?

You can use the dsl-embedded to run from inside windows, but unless you burn a DSL cd, you have very few options other than that for easy usb installation.

Just go over to another computer that has a CD-R drive.

You can make the "bootable USB pendrive" from any computer and then use it on your original computer.

You can use a friend's PC to build it.

did it by burning the cd in another copmuter.thank you for the quick reply.
