When you build a bootable USB stick from the DSL CD it asks which options are required (toram, ftp, etc).

1. Is there a list of all the available options with an explanation of what they do.

2. Can you add options once the bootable USB stick is created by modifying a file, creating an options folder, etc

Yes

Modify the "syslinux.cfg" file.

Edit the "APPEND" line immediately under the "DEFAULT" type.

You can add any new "cheatcodes" (as they are called, aka boot parameters) in between the words "nomce" and "noapic", for example.
