Hi,

I have created a DSL usb key that boots on a desktop machine that I have just fine- so I know the key is at least a little sane.  It was created with the DSL iso, then create a key technique.

So, I take the same key to boot it up on my ibm T42 laptop and it just hangs  at the "Loading initrd.gz" stage (probably 14 .'s in).

Any tricks/techniques/issues I should know about to fix this issue?

thanks

For the record, the solution to this was to upgrade and use syslinux 3.11.  Pretty simple actually, download from < http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux > the zip.  Unzip. In win32 run syslinux X: where X: is the drive the usbkey is mapped to.  Viola.

I've at least gotten past the initrd.gz hang problem...onto others.
