On a Dell Optiplex GX280, on which SLAX boots fine from USB - DSL throws a fit when "searching for CD on" and evenrtually ends up in a kernel panic complaining about root fs.

This same USB stick boots fine on an IBM and a whitebox we have in the office.

Any suggestions?

On this same machine, booting from CD works, but does not detect USB devices.

lsmod showed no ehci-hcd driver loaded.  Loading it gives me this error:
PCI: cache line size of 128 is not supported by device 00:1d.7

The machine then hard-locks.

The same behavior is not seen from the Debian sarge 2.6 kernel on the same hardware.

The whole problem went away with RC1.  Huzzah!
