Format USB DriveForum: DSL Embedded Topic: Format USB Drive started by: desnotes Posted by desnotes on Dec. 10 2005,17:47
I am trying to install DSL Embedded on a USB Pen Drive. I have the dsl-2-0-embedded.zip and mformat.exe. I plugged in my USB drive and it was recognized as "Removable Drive (F:)." However, when I click on mformat.exe from the CD or from a directory on my hard drive (Win XP). I receive the following error message:No USB Flash Disk Found! The USB drive is a PNY 256MB. Is there something I am missing or are there certain USB drives that cannot be formatted? Thanks, desNotes Posted by cbagger01 on Dec. 10 2005,21:32
Why do you need to format the drive? If the files are there after you unzipped the dsl download, then you are in business. Just double-click on the BAT file and away you go. Posted by desnotes on Dec. 10 2005,22:29
