I have two dsl's hd installed in vmware in fc3/winxp. I was wondering if i can communicate between these two dsl's via ssh, ftp. I would be thankful if somebody can offer some help about setting up ssh in dsl's.

I don't know about ftp but ssh should work. I just tried to log into DSL 2.1b running under VMware Player and XP from another box with ssh. You have to find the ip address (/sbin/ifconfig), start the ssh daemon (/etc/init.d/ssh start) and change the password (passwd).
