Hello, I have a serious addiction to Linux and trying out it's various distributions.  Recently I have moved in with some friends and for various reasons I cannot set up my Linux machine and am restricted to my laptop which my wife will NOT let me install Linux on, even a dual boot.  So I opted for the shady route and decided to use the embedded DSL in Windows.

On to my actual question:  How do I install programs while in Embedded DSL?  I am assuming DSL is Debian based, but I see no apt-get functionality.  I am really not adept at compiling source code as I am spoiled by the ease of apt and yum and things like that.  I don't have any specific programs that I wish to install yet, but I think installing random software to test it out is half the fun of Linux.  If you have any examples I would be happy to be pointed in the right direction, I could not find anything in the history of this forum.

all you have to do is go to my dsl

it will install the programs you want and you can easily start using them without going through a command line install

you tried looking for the hard way yet the easy way was staring you in the face  :;):
