well i want to be able to run it.... wait i think i am in the wrong forum, because i cant get it to start from inside windows, because it isnt a top of the line system, it is a toshiba portege 7010ct. i want to install DSL on there but i have no idea how to because i have basically no media induction, the floppy wont work and i looked and it cant boot off of USB and there is no cd drive, and currently on there is windows NT.

So I'll rephrase your question: how can install DSL if my cd is not working?

Poor man's install:

Buy a latop-IDE adapter for $10.00

Pull the hard drive.

Install it into a regular desktop PC as the PRIMAY MASTER drive.

Install DSL as normal using the desktop PC's CDROM drive.

Re-install the hard drive into your laptop.
