Hi, first post here.

I have installed DSL with QEMU on a pendrive, but modifying the dsl-windows.bat file by adding the cheat code toram doesn't work. DSL boots up, but copying it to a ramdisk fails, it says that the Ramdisk might not be big enough. How do I resolve this? Is there a quick way to set a bigger disk?

Also I have clicked the Enable Apt-get section on the menu, but apt-get install doesn't work still, as apt-get isn't found... how do you fix that?

Thanks!

It's a frugal anyways, so as long as you don't backup it won't write to your pendrive.  (You can remove the frugal line if its there for mounting as RO, to be for sure)

I don't see how using toram under qemu would help ... but if you want to try anyways, you could increase the memory pass on qemu ( -m i think it was).

You'll need a internet connection for "Enable Apt-get".  Once the download is completed, you should have it.

Oh, OK... I assumed that all the logs etc would be written to the disk every few seconds.

I do have internet connetion, firefox etc works on the internet, but pinging www.google.com or 192.168.1.1 as root doesn't work.... any ideas?

The pinging is probably something to do with your router (or whatever you're using), but as long as you can access http sites you should be fine.

You can manually download it on the Downloads page too.
