I'm trying to compile a RT2500 driver on a DSL embedded installation running under Windows XP. The problem is that every time I try to install gcc1.dsl from the MyDSL panel it hangs during installation, after downloading the .dsl file. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Also, when I download linux-kernel-headers.dsl I keep getting 'Download or checksum error' as a message.

Are you out of memory? Are you out of virtual disk? What is your download location? The default memory allocated for Qemu/DSL is only 128MB. If you are using a virtual disk, what size did you make it? The original virtual disk was only 60MB? Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on Jan. 14 2007,17:57
side notes:- you should not be using linux-kernel-headers.dsl but kernelsource.dsl - it's just that kernelsource.dsl is for 2.4.26 (current kernel) and it actually only contains the headers. - afaik the native rt2500 driver does not work on smp kernels (just a heads up) Posted by bigpilot on Jan. 15 2007,05:45
