I am a kind of newbie in Linux, and have been given the task of remote booting a linux operating system via LAN. I am trying to boot it using rpld.conf. When trying to install the whole Debian it fails, maybe due to the size, so i will try with DSL. I only was wondering if anybody has tried to do it before, so he can help me, because i am a bit desperate with it.
In case the remote booting succeeds, next i have to do is booting a program to refresh the content of a flash memory contained in the Embedded pc, and there i get totally lost... i am supossed to boot some kind of file system with the program and the new content of the flash... or an image of that file system, i dont know. Please help me! u_u

If you have enough memory, some forum users have booted off network resources using pxe (you'll also need that capability in your system).

Don't really quite get what you mean, but I suggest that you clear up what you are actually supposed to do.
