Im new here so if I have posted this in the wrong place I really do apologise.
My problem is that when I try to boot DSL from a cd it hangs at the point where it says:

INIT: version 2.78-knoppix booting
processor 0 is AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 2200Mhz, 512 KB Cache APM Bios Foun, Power management functions enabled.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

What is confuser
network card
sound
video
etc
etc
sounds like it's failing to startX at point of network config.
