Whats the root psswd for DSL Embedded?
I tried to do somthing that needed root privilages,
and DSL said you not root dumbass!--not really.
It gave a typical system response, I just felt like one
'cause I didn't what it was.

Hi acidblue,

If you are in the command line, you do not need a password.  Just type "sudo su" without the quotes and it will put you in supervisor mode.  Then you can execute the command that needs supervisor rights.

But what is the default root password?  Does anyone know?

kahoona,
There isn't one..   it is simply "locked" .
But you can MAKE one, by opening a root shell,
and typing " sudo passwd " ...

sudo passwd doesn’t' work for me.

I already tried sudo su then try to change it, that didn't work either.

This sucks because if I want to install some software with the Emelfm file viewer I can't unless I have the root password.

Any further help would be much appreciated.

Thx,
Dooglave

Did sudo password not work because it had some complaints about not being able to write to some stuff?  If so, try < http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....=passwd >

Good luck
