Could you guys, quite possibly, add < UDE > to your APT list? UDE is designed for warp-speed operation, and I think some people would be interested in it, or does APT retrive packages from Debian's list only?

This is one of those applications that i've been intending to build into a mydsl package.  However, some things (particularly the lack of hotkey support) have caused me to put it off, waiting for 0.3 to hopefully be released soon.

I don't know anything about apt, so i can't comment of that.

Sorry, I meant myDSL. Mhy is it called myDSL, anyway? I think a more literal acronym like DSLPM, or a proper name would be more suitable. Also, is there some easier way to install DSL without having to use the command line?

How is myDSL not appropriate?  It's more appropriate than DSLPM (assuming "PM" means "package manager") because it's not a package management system...it merely installs programs built specifically for DSL.

I don't know about installing DSL...I haven't done anything other than copying the CD contents onto a partition.

Nevermind. There's a keyboard support patch for UDE at < http://www.agutscher.de/udepatch.html > that I think may be to your liking. However, that's not an issue, considering you can install APT onto DSL, thanks. Also, have you considered adding Xfce, Window Maker, and fvwm to the list, as well?

I think someone made (or half-made?) a windowmaker extension last year sometime...can't remember if it was removed from the repository, but i think there were problems with it.
Xfce...several people have considered it, including myself.  Personally I found it just a bit too bulky for my taste and my bandwidth, so i dropped the idea.  I'm sure there are still several others with the desire to do it at some point.
fvwm is another one that had crossed my mind, though i haven't see anything terribly magnetic about it to make me give it a try.

It was not too long ago that i could count the number of window managers available through mydsl on one hand, while still leaving a couple of fingers free to count other stuff.  The number is increasing as the months pass, so i'm sure it won't be too long before you find one or more of the above in the list.
