Will we see support for serial ATA drives anytime soon?

In the meantime, if you still need SATA support, please fall back to using DSL version 2.1b and then boot with this command:

dsl sata

Does this support all SATA controllers ? I have an MSI NForce 3 motherboard and can't seem to access the SATA drives after I booted DSL 2.1 w/ dsl sata after brining up the F3 menu.

It supports all SATA controllers that are supported by the linux 2.4.31 kernel version.

The drives should appear as SCSI emulated devices, IE:

/mnt/sda1

etc

Also, make sure that your BIOS is set for the proper operating mode for your SATA controller.

Sometimes, if you set your drives for LEGACY mode or PATA emulation mode, they will not work with the linux SATA drivers.
